Abstract:

The city of Ottawa airphotos cover the city of Ottawa and extend across the river to include Aylmer, Hull and Gatineau. The airphotos were taken in the summers of 2002 and 1999. The 2002 airphotos have a spatial resolution of 25 cm, and the 1999 airphotos have a resolution of 50 cm. The airphotos are provided in MrSid format.

Purpose:

The airphotos can be used alone or combined with geospatial data for terrain visualization, environmental monitoring and landuse assessment. The also provide an up-to-date base map that can be integrated with other geographic information to give a rich visual context when studying social, economic or environmental problems
