1:25,000 scale vector base mapping files covering the National Capital Region. Individual themes include roads, railways, hydro lines, buildings, contours, vegetation, and drainage. These themes, or layers, can be viewed separately or as a composite map.
Purpose:
This digital data set is useful as a general base map on which you can plot your own features of interest or you may combine your own attribute data to link to specific features.

Railroads: Line feature showing the railways in the NCR. Indicates owner of line and whether active or inactive.

Airports: Shows the line topology of runways located within and around the NCR. No attribute data.

Buildings: Shows the polygon areas of all major buildings other than houses, located within and around the NCR. Derived from the 1:2000 scale data set which was compiled from the 1:6000 b/w photography (1986-95). Positional accuracy 90% within 1 metre of true ground position. No attribute data.
