These Researcher's Datasets from the PRS Group provide a range of annual and monthly weighted averages from 1984 to the present for Political, Economic, Financial and Composite Risk in 140 developed, emerging, and frontier markets (see list of countries).

Ratings of 0 equate to very low risk, and the upper-most ratings, e.g., 4, 6, 12, equate to very high risk.

This monthly Political Risk index is based on a 50 possible points across 18 detailed subcomponents . These are subcomponents for the six political components: Government Stability, Socioeconomic Conditions, Investment Profile, Internal Conflict and External Conflict. | Excel table

The Excel file above starts in May 2001 and provides 18 detailed subcomponents, with 3 subcompents on each worksheet .
