Titles, Legends and Source

Edit the text for graph titles, legends and source.

The default settings for titles are as follows according to the number of variables in the graph:

ClosedMain Title

Main titles are displayed by default when there are up to 4 variables in the graph.

Edit the Main Title(s)

  1. Open the title dialog by doing one of the following:
    • Go to Graph > Titles > Main Title
    • T
    • Double click on the main title
  2. Edit the text then click OK or ENTER

Move the Main Title(s)

  1. Right click on the main title
  2. Select the item
  3. Drag and drop the item

Remove the Main Title(s)

  1. Right click the graph > Format Graph or Manage Template
  2. Go to the Titles tab
  3. Under Top Title, check "Use as Master Title"

Clear/Reset the Main Title(s)

  • With the title dialog open click the clear button or Clear All for multiple titles
  • With the title dialog open click the reset button or Reset All for multiple titles
ClosedTop /Master Title

The top/master title is not displayed by default, but can be used as the graph's overall title.  

Add a Top Title

  1. Open the top title dialog by doing one of the following:
    • Go to Graph > Titles > Top Title
    • ALT + T
  2. Edit the text and click OK or ENTER

Move the Top Title

  1. Right click the top title
  2. Select the item
  3. Drag and drop the item

Remove the Top Title

  1. Right click the graph > Format Graph or Manage Template
  2. Go to the Titles tab
  3. Under Top Title, uncheck "Use as Master Title"

Delete the Top Title

  1. Open the top title dialog by doing one of the following:
    • Go to Graph > Titles > Top Title
    • ALT + T
  2. Delete the text and replace it with a blank space
ClosedY-Axis Title

By default, Y-Axis' titles are not displayed.

Show Y-Axis Title

  1. Go to Graph > Titles > Y-Axis Right/Left Title
  2. Select Show Title

Edit Y-Axis Title

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Go to Graph > Titles > Y-Axis Right/Left Title > Change Title
    • Double click on the Y-Axis Title
  2. Edit the text and click OK or ENTER
ClosedLegends

By default, legends are not displayed.

Show Legends

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Graph > Legends > Show
    • CTRL + L

Edit Legends

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Graph > Legends > Legends Text
    • CTRL + ALT + L
  2. Edit the text and click OK or ENTER
ClosedSource

By default, the full source/Haver Analytics is displayed.

Edit the source

  1. Right click on the source
  2. Edit the source's style property in Options
  3. Click save from the template options toolbar

To modify the style of the titles, right click on the item.
